Does anyone have some positive experiences regarding bilateral or unilateral hip core decompression?

I'm 28 and recently diagnosed with AVN, my doctor is suggesting CD if my upcoming MRI shows no improvement or worsening. I have to be on crutches and wheelchair until the end of this year when I do another MRI.  I'm having some pain even when I'm just sitting at work in the wheelchair. I don't really like the idea of being inactive for much longer, but I can deal with it, if I have to. I recently lost 40 lbs (over 12 months) which were gained while on prednisone, and I have enjoyed working out, until I was given this diagnosis.

If you have any not so positive stories, I will take that too. What advice do you have for after the surgery?
