I am new to the site and wanted to ask a couple questions for those that may have gone through similar frustrations postoperatively. I have completed the 3 month period of immobility using cast,  both hard and air. I just received my brace that fits in shoe and it has not been a pleasant experience. I have switched shoe size up to a 1/2" and used wide instead of narrow and now feel as if shoes are to loose. I am trying to accomodate a bunion as well as the brace. Has anyone had this experience and what type of shoe were you able to wear comfortably. If this is a long term brace, I would like to at least be able to walk comfortably somewhat. Also, for those that have had core decompression of ankle with graft, could you please give me information on what  to expect since I have just started wearing brace. I am grateful that I am able to walk with brace, however, it is a little frustrating when the shoe affects my operative foot/ankle as well as the opposite foot.. Thanks
