Once-a-Month "Cure” May Cause Lifelong Problems
Story Digest:

Dr. Carl Gillman has published an article in the West Liberty Index discussing the possibility that common medications like Fosamax, Boniva, and Reclast may have harmful interactions when combined with common tap water.  More specifically, Dr. Gillman's concern is that those medications may interact with the fluoride often found in municipally supplied water to "magnify the potential for increased fractures."

Dr. Gillman's article is clearly based on his personal experience and opinion as his article does not cite any clinical trials, published research, or any other known credible sources.  Nonetheless, the article is definitely an interesting read, expecially since some Avascular Necrosis / Osteonecrosis patients are precribed bisphosphonates such as Fosamax, Boniva, and Reclast.
