I came across a blog that discussed homeopathy remedies for AVN of the hip.  It looks promising but couldn't find any supporting details of this doctors claims.  Some of the drugs he uses seem like they could be dangerous.  Here is what I found out about the doctor from his website.

Dr. Deoshlok Sharma is a Indian Government Registered Qualified Homoeopath BHMS. He got his BHMS from Utkal Mani Homoeopathic medical College and Hospital in 1985. Dr. Sharma is widely acclaimed internationally and has been awarded the Gold Medal in 1993 (don't know from where). In 1998 he was awarded the Award of Excellence (don't know from where) . Dr. Sharma also writes for one of North India’s largest daily news paper Sanmarg, Dainikjagaran , jagran city, Hindustan Hindi. He researches and proscribes homeopathy remedies for a wide verity of ailments, one one which is AVN.

Case:

Necrosis of femur head treatment

Limping, swelling and pain at right hip joint
 

Treatment:

Flouric Acid and Symphytum for 8 months.
Flouric Acid flour 6c three times in a day with weekly one doses of symphytum 1M

Claimed Result:

Regeneration of the femur head

Pain and swelling gone after 3 months.

Limping with gone after 8 months

He saids both Flouric Acid and Symphytum have bone regenerative properties. Dr. Sharma prescribes an additional medicine, Platinum mur,  for necrosis of the talus bone..

For joint pain he suggests

1. symphytum 200 2 drops morning

2. Argent met 200 2 drops at night

Does anyone have any additional info on this "remedy"? It looks promising but I don't have much to go on.  I welcome any comments or suggestions.
