Spontaneous Healing?

Hi Reader, In a nutshell I developed right-side groin pain in January 2010, thought I'd sprained some muscle but when it didn't go away I started seeing a physiotherapist. After 6 weeks he thought he wasn't doing any good so I had an x-ray which showed nothing wrong with my hip. At this time my hip pain and walking was becoming worse day-by-day.  I then had MRIs of both hips and was diagnosed 3 months ago with AVN - bilaterally but worse in the right hip (stage 0-1).

AVN of the Talus

Hi there!
I'm am 25 years old and have been diagnosed with AVN of my left talus after a head on car accident on July 17,2008. I was diving home and on the off ramp a Jeep came over the median and hit my Acura head on driver side. The car looked worse than I did. I am the luckiest girl on the planet. The accident left me with broken tibia and fibula of my right leg and what was thought to be a sprained left ankle. After many CAT scans and X-rays two doctors were debating about what to do with my left foot. I was not aware of the situation because the pain meds took their toll on me. I do not have a high pain tolerance and have never broken a bone until the day of the accident. After my first surgery on my right leg the doctor tried to straighten out my talus in my left foot, two days later he placed a screw through my talus and told me that we will have to wait for the outcome.

After months and months of therapy and the use of a portable ultrasound machine to help my bones fuse together my right leg healed, but my left did not. I was in more pain than ever and didn't know what was wrong.

I didn't find out the true diagnosis of my left foot until Feb 2009, I was devastated and my orthopedic surgeon at the time told me that I had to do my own research to find a doctor who could help me.
I was left in the dark with no one to help me so I turned to the internet and found some information about doctors in other countries. I am looking for as much information as possible, anything will help seriously! I am young and I don't want to be in pain for the rest of my life!

Thank you in advance for your help!

Talonavicular AVN

Hello,

Tomcat's AVN story

Hello all,

I'm a W/M age 48 who has recently been diagnosed with AVN of the left and right hips, so here's my story:

Just diagnosed with spontaneous AVN in knee

I've just been diagnosed with spontaneous AVN in my left knee.  This follows tratment for a torn meniscus for which I had surgery in late March. Recovery from surgery was going well until three weeks ago when I began experiencing extreme pain in my knee.

Just diagnosed with AVN in right shoulder
I am 70 years old and have a genetic collagen disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.  Mine is the hypermobile type  which means that my joints are held together with damaged stretchy collagen.  This causes severe osteoarthritis and many joint replacements.  So far both thumb joints, both knees and my left shoulder have been replaced.
AVN in foot

Hi!

I'm from the Netherlands. Today I am diagnosed with AN in my feet (big toes). Here is my story.
