How Does the User Submitted Content Process Work?

Avascular Necrosis Resources is set up such that all content will be a collaboration of many different contributors' expertise. All content starts with a single member submitting an item via one of the site on-line forms. A site Content Administrator will then review the submission and possibly make minor proofreading corrections and formatting changes to improve the quality of the submission.

Voting determines sort order
Once the new content is posted live to the site, other members may then vote on the overall usefulness of the content using the embedded 5 star tool.

Average Rating Voting Component

The content views are by default sorted such that content with the highest average votes will be at the top and content with the lowest average votes will be at the bottom. This means that the best quality content will gain the most visibility.

Member comments lead to new revisions
As members read the content, they may also post comments offering feedback or additional information about the topic. Once significant new information is available in the comments, a Content Administrator will then create a new revision of the content that includes the original information and the new information posted in the comments. This way, the content is a collaboration between multiple users and not just a single viewpoint. Also, the voting control of the content is reset once a new revision is created to give the item a new chance at a higher rating.

Summary:
The most important point we wish to convey is that readers will receive the most complete and highest quality information via content that is a collaboration between multiple members instead of just a single contributor. Also, we ask that writers please be aware of this process and not take offense if and when their content is edited or appended.
